Terms of Service
Plain-language summary: the tools are provided as they are, you keep the rights to your own images, do not upload things you have no right to edit, and paid credits are consumed as you use them.
1. The agreement
By using shadowfix.app you accept these terms. If you do not, do not use the service.
2. What the service is
A set of online tools that edit photographs. Some run on our servers via a third-party AI provider; two of them (tint and red-eye) run entirely in your browser. The output is produced by machine-learning models and is not guaranteed to be accurate, faithful or fit for any particular purpose — including official use. If you are preparing a passport or visa photo, check the result against the issuing authority's own requirements before submitting it. We do not warrant that any result will be accepted by anyone.
3. Accounts
The AI tools require a Google sign-in. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Do not share it. We may suspend or close an account that abuses the service, attempts to circumvent limits, or breaks section 4.
4. What you may not upload
- Images you do not own or otherwise have the right to edit.
- Sexual content involving minors, or any other content that is illegal where you or we are located.
- Content intended to impersonate a real person, forge an identity document, or produce a misleading record.
- Anything intended to harass, defame or endanger someone.
Editing your own ID or passport photograph so that it meets a photo standard is a normal use of this service. Altering a document to misrepresent who you are is not.
5. Your content and your rights
You keep all rights to the images you upload and to the results. We claim no ownership over either, and we do not use your images to promote the service. We need a limited technical licence — strictly to transmit and process your image so that the tool can run — and it ends when processing ends. Note that processing involves a third-party provider; see section 2 of the Privacy Policy for what that means in practice.
6. Credits, plans and payment
The AI tools are metered in credits. What one run costs depends on the model and output resolution you choose, and the exact cost is shown before you run it. Free-plan credits refresh monthly and do not roll over. Credits bought as a one-off pack do not expire and are used only after your plan's monthly allowance is exhausted.
You are not charged for a failed run. Credits are held when a run starts and returned in full if it fails.
Paid plans are not open at the time of writing. When they are, payment will be handled by Stripe, prices will be shown before purchase and exclude any tax that may apply, and subscriptions renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
7. Refunds
If a purchase fails technically — you were charged but the credits never arrived, or the service was unavailable — email [email protected] and we will refund it. Beyond that, credits already spent on completed runs are not refundable, because the processing cost has already been incurred on our side. Statutory rights that apply where you live are not affected by this paragraph.
8. Availability
We give no uptime guarantee. The service depends on third-party providers and may be slow, degraded or offline. We may change, limit or discontinue any part of it, including free allowances, at any time.
9. Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or any rejection of a document or listing that used an image produced here. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms; the date at the top will change. Continuing to use the service means you accept the revised version.
